Daiichi Gomu Kabushiki Kaisha, a rubber footwear manufacturer, was established in May 1935 in Otaru City, Hokkaido. Before the war, there were about 50 rubber footwear manufacturing companies in Hokkaido, but now only Daiichi Gomu remains. It has become the only rubber boot manufacturer that has continued since pre-war times. As the only factory in Japan that can produce rubber boots using the vulcanization method, each pair is carefully crafted by skilled hands and shared with the world.
